Welcome to the 3rd annual Masquerade Ball. Doors just opened at 6:30pm, come on in and exchange the ticket you bought in advance (for the discounted price of just $15) from one of the performing acts for an entry bracelet. Do you have your ID? This party is 21+, no exceptions. We'll need to see your ID along with the face you are hiding under that amazing mask - awesome costume by the way!
Bought your ticket online? That's another way to save a few bucks by paying just $15 plus a small service charge. Simply show your receipt/proof of purchase to the admissions hostess here at the front door.
No ticket? Well it's a good thing you showed up early because we still have a few left. All tickets are general admission and they are $20 here at the door the day of the show.
What does $20 get you? SEVEN plus hours of live performances by some of the best musical acts in Florida! We have an amazing lineup this year with enough diversity to please any pallet. Matt Miller is providing sound and GW Production has a trippy light show planned.
Costumes are a requirement for entry so have fun trying to find your friends and good luck guessing everyone's mask-obscured identities.
Oh! -and if you hurry on upstairs Ms.Karen Woodard has prepared some excellent hors d’oeuvres to thank those of you who arrived in time to catch the first couple acts.
We're so excited about this year's lineup - all of the bands are headliners, you don't want to miss a thing! There's no smoking in the venue so you'll have to go out back when the time comes. I'm sure your lungs can wait for that cigarette until the next break while they swap out the stage between bands, or perhaps you'd rather stay inside and enjoy the slick mixes of DJ Tim Baker. Take advantage of the Bank and Blues Club's vast liquor selection served from full bars on each floor. Be sure to keep your bracelet on and visible as security is on the lookout for naked wrists.
We at GW Promotion would love to know; how did you find out about this event? ...ah, of course! You saw it listed on WhatsLive.net - hands down THE BEST local Volusia County event listings page AND one of our sponsors.
Enough chatter though, the first act is about to take the stage. You'd better grab a drink from the bar and some appetizers from upstairs if you're hungry (and if there are any left). Thanks again for coming and wearing such a fantastic costume - you look great and I had no idea who you were until you lifted your mask to check in with your ID. The party is about to get started at the Third Annual Masquerade Ball - IT'S SHOW TIME!
The minimum requirement for entry is a mask that obscures your identity - that's the entire point and the fun part of a masquerade party. Most people take their costumes far beyond the minimum though. Many dress in formal ballroom attire with elegant masks to match. Think "Eyes Wide Shut" and you'll have the right idea. Dressing fancy is NOT a requirement though. By all means, get weird with it!
