Friday, January 31, will kick off with The Long-Term "Big Picture" for Farmers and Ranchers, the promise and perils ahead for the world's farmers and ranchers to feed another 2 billion people by 2050.  Following lunch, speaker Dan Manternach will delve into "The Vital Skills in Financial Management and Strategic Business Planning" covering key financial ratios from your lender's perspective, performance benchmarking to assess and improve competitive status in production costs and price risk management.  The day will wrap up with a session on 'See Your Farming and Ranching Future as a Blessing and not a Punishment.  This light-hearted and uplifting message will share how small-to-medium producers can compete with the "big boys," how parents can help the next generation, how to use a 'SWAT' team approach to sustain your multi-generational farm or ranch into perpetuity.

Saturday, February 1, will provide producers with 36 workshop options covering crops and livestock production, financial management, record keeping, leasing, succession planning, and much more.  Saturday's workshops will provide pertinent information for both the beginning and experienced producer, and fulfills FSA Borrower Training requirements.

Hosted by the Glacier and Toole County Farm Service Agency, local MSU Extension, Marias River Livestock Association, NACDC Financial Services, and the Front Range Counties Farm Bureau, this comprehensive conference of business management, succession planning and production workshops is one not to miss.
