Kinetics Dance Theatre presents BUGGED!: professional modern dance for the whole family.
Ellicott City, MD– On Sunday, March 3rd, Howard County-based Kinetics Dance Company unveils BUGGED! an original young audiences production.
Written and choreographed by Artistic Director Lauren Tait, BUGGED!will transport viewers into the hungry bullfrog’s fly-filled bog, a busy, buzzing beehive, the chrysalis of the contemplative caterpillar, and the web of the bella Tarantella, just to name a few. BUGGED! will feature a variety of original costumes, some designed by or on loan from MannequART/ The MD Fashion Institute, and some designed by Lauren Tait. Also featuring original poetry, fun props including a life-size bullfrog and butterfly cocoon, and a musical compilation including original work by composer Ferdinand Maisel, BUGGED! will dazzle audiences young and old. Stick around to meet the cast following each show, and come early or stay late to try the bug movements for yourself in a free creative dance workshop for ages 4 and up at 2pm.
BUGGED! is part of Kinetics Dance Theatre’s Annual Family Concert Series, designed to make professional modern dance accessible to young audiences. Family Concert Series productions tell stories through dance and are crafted with sophisticated choreography, imaginative props, and vibrant costumes and music to result in a rich arts experience for the whole family.
