Do you live in a community in the Bay Area? You know what, that's totally RAD. And we should all get together!  Why? Because we're not just "living with roommates,” we're reinventing home!

??Whether your community is a co-op, eco-village, warehouse, hacker house, or nunnery, we can all benefit from coming together to share ideas, document best practices, and discuss the opportunities and challenges of a human-being rich lifestyle. From experimenting with social structures, to operations and finances, there is a deep brain trust in all of our communities. Let’s organize!

We would like to invite communities in the SF bay area to unconference hard with us Saturday, October 5th at the Maritol Norwegian Ice Breaker, Pier 50 in San Francisco, starting at 10am and lasting to the point of exhaustion, or 2 in the morning- whichever comes first.

As an unconference, the actual topics will be set by participants. Potential areas for discussion might include:

• Social dynamics
• Rules, traditions and institutions
• Recruitment
• Finances
• Real estate for community living
• Lease negotiations
• Regulatory, zoning and legal challenges
• Starting a community
• Environmental impact
• Mainstreaming/scaling of community living
• Children and community living
• Some cool thing you just thought of!

There could be a lot of benefits to us organising. We would love for this to become an annual thing we can use it as a venue for the community of communities to develop.

10:15: intro - how to unconference

10:30: people intros - 3 words

11:30: parallel sessions

1pm: lunch - something fun

2pm: parallel sessions

6:30 pm: dinner + lightning talks

8pm: parallel sessions, distribute libations
