Event Details

We are a hard rock band based in the Chicago area. We have influences ranging from metal to hard rock to classical to pop to bluegrass to choral music. All of these factors combine to give you driving music with powerful melodies. We hope you enjoy our music as much as we do.

The Rain Delay was started by Jeffrey Connors when he felt the need to play songs that he'd written that never quite saw the light of day (or recording studio) with his previous band Roosevelt Jenkins. He then started writing more songs and bringing back ideas from a decade ago. This project basically started off with Jeffrey and an acoustic guitar but The Rain Delay can be whatever it wants to be whenever it wants to be.

Adia is an American neo-soul rock violinist, singer and songwriter. Her music is a reflection of her diverse musical background; a blend of classic and alternative rock infused with blues and soul undertones.  Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI Adia enrolled in her first violin lessons when she was just three and a half years old.  After receiving a Master of Music degree in violin performance from DePaul University in Chicago, Adia switched to a 5-string electric violin with a unique guitar sound, clearly influenced by her greatest inspiration Jimi Hendrix. ?
