The Southern Tier Jazz Festival is an outdoor live music event taking place on August 17, 2013 (rain or shine) at Thorne Street Park in Horseheads NY from 2-7pm.  Artists include local favorite Top Shelf and regional artists Nancy Kelly (www.nancykelly.com) with guest saxophonist Houston Person and Paradigm Shift (http://psjazz.com) with guest trombonist Wycliffe Gordon.  Returning headliner is contemporary jazz keyboardist Marcus Johnson (www.threekeys.com).  This second annual family-friendly fundraising event features lawn seating, food and beverage provided by the EOP CFJP Bistro, wine provided by Glenora Wine Cellars, and a farmer’s market.  A walking path around the perimeter of the concert area, children's play area, and adjacent public pool are also available.  You may bring your own cooler.  No pets please.  Proceeds benefit the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc. (www.cseop.org).
