Make A Hero is a non-profit organization that reaches out to enthusiasts of all sports, seeking to raise awareness for local organizations and provide financial support for adaptive sports right in each donor's community.
We rely on the self-sustaining fuel of people sharing passions—and this in turn allows local groups to create new programs, engage more people in existing activities, and improve the experience of every participant.
With your generous support today, you can directly impact a large number of adaptive groups by financially allowing them to create life-changing opportunities for people with physical disabilities. Below is a list of examples of how your altruistic donation could help today.
MAKE A HERO TODAY!!!
$6,000 provides one mono-ski for participants in adaptive programs (used by various individuals all season long)
$5,000 enables a Wounded Warrior plus one individual to attend a four-day all-inclusive adaptive sports camp
$2,500 provides one hand-cycle or recumbent bicycle, benefitting dozens—even hundreds—of people every year
$1,000 purchases an adaptive waterski or nordic ski, available all season to participants of local adaptive programs
$750 covers the cost of transportation, equipment, and instructors for one full day of cycling, kayaking, or waterskiing for a group
$300 provides an individual and one family member a full day of snow skiing including equipment and instruction
$100 offers one individual and a family member one day of water sports or cycling including equipment and instruction
$50 offers one individual a half day of water sports or cycling, including equipment
$10 keeps the momentum going, showing all of our volunteers and participants that you support their heroic efforts
Thank you from Make A Hero, adaptive groups nationwide and thousands of physically disabled athletes trying to regain their freedom through the exhilaration of sports!
