Weekend Painting Workshops: "Working On Location"

The Arts Council is teaming up with three renowned Western painters to offer two workshops of artist instruction! Both workshops will be held August 5-6 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The location is the Ophir Elementary School. The weekend also includes a reception for artists and participants on Friday, August 4. All levels of experience are welcome, though participants must be at least 16 years of age.

“Working from On Location” – One day of en plein aire painting followed by a day in the studio, to complete your finished painting.  Instructed by Michael Ome Untiedt. “My role as art instructor is to help each artist find their ‘path of best steps’ to creating art, building on personal strengths to develop an individualized creative voice. . .  My teaching is directed toward individualized guidance based on individual learner needs.”   Mike will be painting in oils, but participants are welcome to paint in any medium.  All levels of experience welcome!  Materials list will be provided upon registration.  Fee:  $195
