**Pre-concert speaker at 1:30 PM Hon. Dale Ikeda

Appearances by Fresno Gumyo Taiko drummers and Singers from Central Valley Japanese School**

Concert of Remembrance and Healing: 75 years after Executive Order 9066 and the incarceration of ethnic Japanese in American concentration camps.

This concert is intended to remember a significant historical event that affected members of our own citizenry seventy-five years ago. Central Valley neighbors, friends, and family of Japanese descent were among those forced from their homes and incarcerated in camps. While none were actually charged with espionage or sabotage, Executive Order 9066 signed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt caused 120,000 men, women, and children to be locked up for the duration of World War II.

Extolling brotherhood, "Ode to Joy" will be the finale of this concert performance.
