The Detroit Children’s Choir uses the power of music education as a cultural platform to unite children of diverse backgrounds. Now completing its eleventh season, the DCC has grown from one in-school choir to thirteen ensembles. The March 5 program features the Advanced Choir, which serves as the premiere and touring ensemble of the organization, giving performances throughout the Metro Detroit community.
The Music at Memorial program, under the direction of Artistic Manager Eric Taylor, will include Benjamin Britten’s delightful song cycle “Friday Afternoons” as well as spirituals, folksongs, and popular repertoire. Don’t miss it!
