Featuring:

Kyle Andrews – @kylearmageddon

Kyle’s acting teacher once told him he was ‘like a really good race car driver with a really bad race car’ so now he mostly does stand-up instead and that seems to be going pretty well. He has performed in and produced shows across southern Ontario including appearances in the Brantford Comedy Festival, the Toronto Comedy Brawl and Fresh Meat 2014. He also has a sketch troupe ‘Tuques of Hazard’ that has been described as ‘High concept sketches; Low intelligence execution’, a statement that accurately sums up Kyle’s entire existence.

Adrienne Fish – @adrienne_fish

Adrienne Fish loves pulled pork sandwiches and is one of Canada’s up and coming comedians. Quickly gaining recognition within the community, she was nominated for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award in recognition of up and coming talent and is a regular feature act in Canada’s Absolute Comedy Clubs. Based out of Toronto, she can be seen performing all over the city (Absolute Comedy, Yuk Yuks, Comedy Bar, Alt Dot Rivoli) combining observational comedy from her everyday life as a nanny, with physical comedy that will make you believe you are right in the room with her British mother on morphine. Off stage, she was featured in the documentary “She’s So Funny”, she can be heard on Sirius XM radio, and currently produces her own monthly sell out show at the Comedy Bar. She’s loud, she’s funny, she’s got a fro, she may even attempt to break-dance on stage and audiences love it. Her energy level boosts any room into high gear and leaves crowds wanting more.

Jay Freeborn – @Jay2theFreeborn

Jay Freeborn is a young, up and comer in the Canadian Comedy scene. Regularly performing hundreds of times a year, he has appeared on BITE TV, was Runner Up in the 2014 Brantford Rising Stars contest, and was Nominated for the 2014 Tim Sims award. He also opened for Steve Hoffstetter the host of Fox’s show “Laughs”. Jay wrote this bio which was cool, but he’d rather yell at strangers through a microphone.

Chad Gibson – @ChadGibsonComic

Chad Gibson is a Toronto based stand-up comic with a unique style and perspective. He has performed in across the province bringing his clever brand of funny to clubs, bars coffee shops and the occasional pizza joint. Chad hosts a weekly open mic show in Toronto at the Magic Oven and was a finalist in the “Rising Stars” competition at the Brantford Comedy Festival.

DK Phan – @dk_phan

One of the freshest upcoming talents in the industry, this aspiring thespian got his start at Absolute Comedy upon studying at The Second City, the world famous comedy theatre and improv shool.

He’s made the most of his time. From open mics to wedding events, DK has steadily built a unique brand of humour that is at once relatable and guilty, often bold yet poignant. Just don’t ask him to tell you a knock-knock joke.

But if you ask him about that time he ate a bag of Doritos out of his pants… well, now that’s a different story.

Hunter Collins – @hunter_collins

Hunter Collins is North America’s foremost nincompoop comedian. In the 90s, they referred to him as “da phattest”.

Originally from Montreal, this versatile, bilingual performer in both sketch and stand-up has graced the stage at countless underground rattlesnake fights and festivals, including The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Cottage Country Comedy Festival, NXNE as well as both the Montreal and Toronto Sketchfests. Hunter sexed it up big-time on Much Music’s hit syndicated show “Video On Trial” and currently tours the world with his no-holds-barred brand of witty “stand-up”, his “hulking biceps” and “gross coughing disease”.

International Television Juggernaut Hunter Collins is a graduate of the Comedy Writing & Performance program at Humber College, where he won the Mike Myers Award, which is given to the graduate who achieves the highest levels of performance and professionalism. He has also taken home a Canadian Film Festival People’s Choice Award and plans to one day win some sort of award that has to do with ripping farts that sound like words.

Faisal Butt – @FaisalButt   Opener

Faisal Butt is a comic based out of Toronto who performs all over Canada. Faisal’s laid back style made him a hit with audiences all over with appearances in the Just For Laughs, JFL42 and Windsor comedy festivals. In 2014 he taped his first comedy special and then recently won the SIRIUS XM “Top Comic” competition during JFL42 and just opened for Russell Peters in October. He also has a beard.

Headliner

Dom Pare – @dpare

Dom Pare, originally from Ottawa, has been taking the Canadian comedy scene by storm. With his quick wit and unconventional charm, he is collecting fans and drink tickets one show at a time. He is in possession of several attributes that just might help him achieve his goal of succeeding in the cut-throat world of stand-up comedy. He is driven to transform the world with “beautiful, clever dick jokes”.

Dom’s magnetic onstage charisma and a great gift for funny observation, has landed him twice in the Ottawa finals of the Great Canadian Laugh Off, was the top pick for CBC’s So You Think You’re Funny contest and was a finalist in the Just For Laughs Homegrown Competition. Recently Dom was a quarter finalist in the Stand Up and Bite Me Competition, winner of the Open Mic Ambush Competition and selected as finalist in the SiriusXM Canada’s Next Top Comic competition.

Dom has also branched out into the comedy world and has written for The Debaters, is featured regularly on XM Radio, and was noted in NOW Magazines Top 10 comedy shows of 2012.
