PANAMANIAN SALSA LEGEND - MENIQUE PERFORMING LIVE WITH GUEST APPEARANCE BY JUNIOR ZUNIGA - CELEBRATING PANAMANIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY & THE 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE PANAMA CANAL
MENIQUE became one of the first Panamanian vocalists to break onto the international scene when he journeyed with Kako's band to New York, then the headquarters of the world Latin music industry. There he went on to work with such luminaries as Arsenio Rodríguez, Tito Puente, Willie Rosario, Santos Colón and Charlie Palmieri, among others. MENIQUE is a dyed-in-the-wool exponent of classic salsa. His career began in Panama City and has spanned over 60 years. Presently he continues to delight many in the Salsa community. MENIQUE was recently honored (March 2013) at the Dia Nacional de la Salsa in San Juan, Puerto Rico. MENIQUE continues to tour and states that music is the oxygen he inhales. He also states that he still has a public that wants to hear him sing and as long as he has an audience, he will continue to delight the Salsa crowds around the world.
Our Special guest artist is JUNIOR ZUNIGA. He is a Panamanian singer, song writer and music producer who has shared his musical experiences with Cano Estremera, Viti Ruiz, Frankie Ruiz and Moncho Santana to name a few. He will be joining us to delight the Los Angeles Salser@s with his authentic Salsa Sound. He is presently touring world wide entertaining his many Salsa fans.
