45th Annual South Plainfield District Festival
The 45th Annual District Music and Art Festival will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the South Plainfield High School.
We have decided to communicate with you in a timely fashion so that you may plan accordingly for this event. Details of the evening are outlined as follows:
1. The concert will be performed in three short segments. The first portion of the concert, which starts at 6:30 pm, will be band music, the second portion, which starts at 7:30 pm will be choral music, and the third portion, which starts at 8:30 pm will be orchestral music. Between each segment, there will be a brief intermission where you are invited to see the Winter Guard in the gymnasium or visit the cafeteria for refreshments and shopping. Just a note: the Jades, and Emeralds vocal groups will be performing during the third orchestra segment (at 8:30pm).
2. There will be a limited number of tickets sold for each portion of the program. You must purchase a separate ticket for each portion of the program that you would like to attend. The price for each ticket will be $2.00. Advance sales will be conducted through each individual school until Thursday, March 6. After that date, tickets will be available at the door only. We would like to encourage you to purchase your tickets during the advance sale time. Tickets will cost $5.00 per segment after Thursday, March 7.
3. Tickets are also available for purchase online. Tickets purchased online will be delivered to your child during the week of March 10. There is a small service charge for purchasing tickets online. There is no service fee if purchased via check through your child’s music teacher.
4. In order to provide a safe and secure environment for all our children, there will be specific areas designated for students and for parents/guests. We ask your cooperation in following all directions carefully so that all may enjoy a wonderful concert experience.
